Master Chef Hu Limei Offers Superb Beijing Cuisine
Chinese celebrity master chef Hu Limei produced her famous signature Beijing cuisine to give invited guests a taste of culinary perfection at
Sands Resorts Macao as part of its ongoing celebrity chef series to promote and celebrate the best of Chinese food culture.
Chef Hu assisted by her son Chef Liu Hong, prepare a variety of superb dishes utilising the finest ingredients. Diners sampled an array of exceptional cuisine, featuring an appetiser of jellyfish Beijing style, deep-fried walnuts in syrup and spicy cabbage; grilled Guandong sea cucumber with shallots; garoupa in rice wine sauce; and A5 wagyu beef with cilantro.
Recognised as one of the finest practitioners of her generation, Chef Hu’s distinguished career has seen her prepare meals for government dignitaries and celebrities, while Chef Liu Hong is a respected industry professional in his own right, heading the culinary team at a leading hotel in China. They have been working together for around 30 years.
Chef Hu Limei said: “Beijing cuisine is representative of China’s great northern food traditions, and often presented as part of national banquets. It is a great honour to be invited to cook at this special event by Sands Resorts Macao, which I hope will allow more people to experience the essence of Beijing cuisine, a long-held passion of mine.”
As part of the evening, guests enjoyed a spectacular performance by Liang Yuan and Wang Tianyi – two popular contestants from the hit reality television phenomenon “BEYOND SHOW”, known for their flawless versions of classic songs by superstar
