V Retreat opens its doors as the next venue for balance and beauty at The Venetian Macao
Upscale, contemporary and peaceful are impressions that come immediately to mind when stepping into The Venetian Macao’s new sanctuary V Retreat, which will feature the LING Instant Lift Bar and an inspirational Midnight Menu.
V Retreat welcomed guests with a combination of classic European style with Asian touches when it opened on May 1. The champagne palette of restful interiors is enhanced by calming candles, warm woods and comfy furnishings, creating a visual haven designed to de-stress at first sight, soothing the body and mind while elevating the mood.
The 700-square-metre spa has totally refurbished the resort’s previous V Spa site, lightening and brightening the reception area, 18 treatment rooms (two of which are couples’ rooms), and male and female relaxation lounges, ideal for extended relaxation post-treatment.

Open the menu, and you’ll find it focuses on the most enduringly popular wellbeing-boosting treatments – massages and facials. In addition, to lessen the effects of today’s typical high stress levels and long work hours, a number of treatments are conducive to quality sleep.
DAY-TO-NIGHT MASSAGE MENU
The ideal antidote to days at a desk, sport-related strains and mental stress, massage can help shortcut muscular aches and pains, boosting the circulation for detoxification, and relaxing the mind.
That’s why massage is core to V Retreat’s menu, and top of the list is the V Therapy Signature Massage, which includes techniques like Balinese and Thai with Swedish and deep tissue for a combined and personalised solution.
The menu also offers deep tissue for working on deep-seated issues, Tui Na which features Chinese acupressure for targeted trigger point work, firm Balinese massage, reflexology and traditional Thai.
Massage is a core element to V Retreat’s menu
“Thai massage is so popular, we are very excited to be able to offer two rooms dedicated to it featuring traditional Thai mattresses,” says Tracy Lord, director of spa operations at Conrad Macao, Cotai Central, The Parisian Macao and now V Retreat. “The massage will be performed by one of our Thai therapists to offer the most authentic therapy possible.”
An interesting addition is the Midnight Menu. After-hours treatments are popular in Macao, and the Midnight Menu is ideal for anyone who needs extra help to transition to quality sleep. The Sleep Retreat, for example, takes the day’s adrenaline levels down, soothing the body and mind with a gently restoring massage using soporific oils, while the Sweet Dreams Scalp Massage works specifically on the head, leaving you in the perfect frame of mind for a restorative night.
INSTANT RESULTS FACIALS
V Retreat’s facial menu will take Macao’s beauty offerings to new heights with exclusive offerings by skincare line LING. Founder Ling Chan created a collection that is renowned for results-driven products and treatments that focus on deep cleansing, exfoliation and massage.
“LING is one of the most successful brands I’ve ever worked with,” says Lord. “It is especially popular with our local clientele as Chan is from Hong Kong and the treatment ingredients she incorporates, like ginseng for example, really resonate with our guests. She also brings a focus on European-style extractions, which works equally well on local as Western complexions.”
Sheet masks, freeze sticks and butterfly stone is part of the Angel GLOpulse facial.
Guests can choose from the menu of 75-minute Superstar Skin facials, such as the NASA Light Years Facial. Texture-refining, the facial uses an intense LED mask to boost collagen production while reducing pigmentation. A decrease in fine lines, lifting and firming of facial muscles and renewed radiance follows, and best of all, there is no downtime.
Understanding the local popularity of cupping treatments for the body, Chan created the CPR Facelift, which uses the Traditional Chinese Medicine technique on the face for serious sculpting, detoxification and boosting of the circulation and collagen.
“This facial is ideal for anyone who is tired or has been suffering from a lack of sleep,” advises Lord, who adds the treatment offers total stimulation of the facial muscles leading to a brightened and plumped complexion, while banishing fine lines.
Famous New York, based facialist Georgia Louise’s Angel Glo facial, originally designed for Victoria’s Secret Angels, will also be on the menu, while her Pulse+Glo headset and masks will be available in the retail area.
For shorter treatments, the Glow Getter facial menu features 60-minute facials with niche focuses, such as the Ginseng Collagen facial, the Bye-Bye Breakouts “Teen” Facial and a treatment designed specifically to minimise the effects of environmental pollution using tea, called the AnTEA Pollution Facial.
LING incorporates ingredients like ginseng into its extractions
Particularly exciting is the LING Instant Lift Bar at the finishing touches salon. Proving incredibly popular in New York, where Chan debuted the concept, guests can choose a 30-minute pick-me-up express facial that answers their complexion’s immediate needs. With a range of serums to choose from, the treatment marries intense skincare solutions with an Energy Lift device that uses a warmed tourmaline stone to help serums penetrate and revitalise the skin, fast-tracking improvements in texture and radiance. The salon also offers hair treatments by John Masters Organics, OPI nail care with white tea manicures and pedicures.
And for those who want to invest in both massage and facial, their V Therapy Mixers allow total customisation with massages and facials to cherry pick-and-mix within the treatment time; the V Platinum Indulge lasts three hours, V Diamond Relax two-and-a-half, and the V Gold Rejuvenate two hours.
Within the increasingly dynamic Cotai Strip, V Retreat is a welcoming sanctuary for wellness and beauty, helping balance Macao life for both locals and visitors.
